About Us
Corn Mazes America was launched on December 6, 2003 by Scott
Skelly, the corn maze designer for
Skelly's Farm Market
in Janesville, Wisconsin, as an informational source providing
listings of corn mazes around the country. Scott soon started
receiving emails from farms around the country with questions
about making a corn maze. Scott soon set to work on a book, and
in March 2004 Corn Mazes: Is There a Pot of Gold in Your
Cornfield? was released as the first for-profit project of
Corn Mazes America. Corn Mazes America also began offering corn
maze designing and cutting services that year and worked with
three farms.
CMA now works with over 20 farms each year to create
successful corn mazes. Our mazes have stretched from California
to China. We have expanded our services to also include
software, maze products, custom consulting, and special maze
projects. Our staff is also very involved with our home farm in
Wisconsin which helps us to continue to understand the
challenges farmers face. We are focused on creating
realistically sized and priced attractions that will be both fun
for the visitor and practical for the farm.
We also continue to maintain a directory of corn mazes to
help maze enthusiasts find a maze near them. We also provide
community presentations about the maze industry, and Scott
continues to work with educational groups and schools to
encourage the spread of agri-tourism, agriculture, and
entrepreneurship.
